It was a wet and dreary day for the 2013 Motor Mayhem with rain periods forcing a stoppage several times throughout the day.
With crowd numbers down the event organisers were unable to hold the ‘Miss Mayhem’ competition, however the spectators were treated to a veritable plethora of on and off track action with Racing, Go to Whoa, Powerskids and a Show ‘n Shine featuring throughout the day. The appearance of two high-end drag cars topped off a diverse range of vehicles showing over the course of the event.
Although the day ended in unfortunate circumstances, all drivers declared the day a success and eyes are looking toward the next event with high expectations.
Overall honors were taken by Mackay local Mick Barrett in the Purple ‘FAT 572’ Holden Ute.
